Stoneleigh Care Home in Stanley, Durham received a visit from Kevan Jones, Member of Parliament for North Durham, and Dr Chai Patel, Chairman of HC-One, who visited the home to raise awareness of National Care Home Open Day which took place on Friday 21st June. Kevan Jones MP and Dr Chai Patel enjoyed a tour of the recently refurbished home. They were also given an overview of the home’s many activities, including arts and crafts seminars and they even participated in the chair exercises! After enjoying a delicious lunch at the home, Kevan Jones MP and Dr Chai Patel were then able to spend time chatting with Residents and colleagues. We were pleased to be able to showcase our newly refurbished home to them, Residents and colleagues really enjoyed the chance to speak to their local MP and to the Chairman of HC-One. Kevan Jones, MP for North Durham, said; “I was very pleased to be able to visit Stoneleigh with Chai, and was very impressed with the facilities on offer. I have visited the home before and have always been struck by the quality of the care provided. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time chatting to Residents and learning more about the activities on offer to them.”
